Tollers Supporting Memory Day 2017
On Thursday 21st September 2017 between 9am and 6pm, the Grosvenor Shopping Centre in Northampton will be hosting a “Memory Day”, aimed at providing information and advice about dementia and memory. Memory Day 2017 follows the successful event of last year and has been organised by the Dementia Friendly Communities of Practice Northamptonshire, a group of individuals and organisations who aim to increase knowledge and understanding with and for people living with dementia and their families.
This year Tollers have been involved in supporting and organising the day and will hold legal discussions around: Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorneys and Social Care in the morning and afternoon, which can be booked in advance by clicking here. There will also be a number of other activities available throughout the day, including Dementia Friends sessions, wellbeing assessments, clinics and information sessions. Please visit the COP Northants website, where you can book sessions and find out much more about the day including those organisations who will be exhibiting.
Kirsty Sanderson, the Elderly and Vulnerable Client Manager at Tollers has been involved, helping to arrange the Memory Day and says: “Memory Day 2017 promises to be an educational and informative day with lots to learn and share. Not only will there be stalls and activities, but there will also be music and a raffle with some brilliant prizes to be won. The day is aimed at all – those living with dementia, their families, businesses and the general public. We would love people to come along and get involved.”
The Tollers Elderly and Vulnerable Client team will be manning their stand all day and will be on hand to give legal assistance and advice in relation to any issues surrounding older client affairs, so why not take the opportunity to Talk to Tollers.
