Free Wills Month

Date Added 14.03.17

For the 7th year, Tollers Trust and Estates team are delighted to be participating in the nationwide Free Wills Month. This is a great way for Tollers to support our local community and the Charities involved in the scheme.

How Free Wills Month Works

Most of us realise how important it is to have a Will, but it is one of those tasks that we always seem to put off for another day. And even if we do have a Will we rarely remember to update it. During Free Wills Month a number of nationwide Charities are encouraging those 55 and over to have their Wills written or updated. The designated Charities are paying (a nominal fee) for people aged 55 and over to have simple Wills written or updated during March. If you are making your Will as a couple, only one of you needs to be 55 or over to qualify.

This is your opportunity to make a bequest to your favourite charity whilst ensuring your wishes regarding your estate are clear causing less stress for your loved ones. You can either leave:

  • A share or percentage of your estate after family and friends have been remembered.
  • A specific sum of money
  • Specific gifts, such as; jewellery, furniture or property.

Which Charities Are Involved

The initiative supports 12 Charities, we have linked to each of the charities websites so you can see more information about the great work they do and in most cases information about leaving gifts in Wills:
