We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Office Assistant to join our expanding Stevenage office. This position is integral to the smooth running of the Stevenage office. You will need to be able to prioritise your work and manage expectations.

You will also need to be well organised, have keen attention to detail, a flexible approach and be able to cope with a variety of demands placed upon you, sometimes at a moment’s notice.

This role is office-based and you will need to be a car owner & driver.

Your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to –

  • Assisting in the operation and daily running of the office;
  • Opening and scanning incoming post (DX and Royal Mail) every morning;
  • Franking and stamping outgoing post (DX and Royal Mail) every afternoon;
  • Assisting with archiving & requesting client files and documents;
  • Photocopying and scanning;
  • Preparing the daily banking of cheques & visiting the bank when necessary;
  • Covering the main reception & switchboard when the receptionist is at lunch, off sick or on annual leave;
  • Assisting members of the team with the management of networking and events;
  • Carrying out inductions with new members of staff;
  • Dealing with stationery orders;
  • Managing petty cash;
  • Assisting with general facilities tasks and reporting to the Facilities Manager and Office Managing Partner as appropriate, e.g. meeting third party contractors at the office;
  • Assisting the Office Managing Partner with ad-hoc issues as and when they arise;
  • Assisting the teams with new enquiries when required.

A professional, polite and attentive telephone manner along with a methodical approach to work, which needs to be completed under strict deadlines, are very important for this role.
