You are invited to attend Tollers’ fifth annual Elderly and Vulnerable Conference: Navigating the Care Funding Maze: Issues and Challenges
Tollers are pleased to invite you to attend our upcoming 2019 conference, where we will be discussing several issues relating to financing care needs.
The conference is aimed at professionals working with the elderly and vulnerable. It will provide an introduction to care funding basics and options. In particular, focus will be given to the role of Attorneys and Deputies in ensuring their client receives appropriate funding and benefit support and that assets are recovered in cases of financial abuse, as well as Local Authority and NHS Care Funding.
Some of the speakers on the day will be:
Nicola Taylor – CEO of the Care Adviser Network, who will be talking about Local Authority financial assessments and the rules around deliberate deprivation of assets.
Aleisha White and Anna Callow – Independent Social Workers with the Care Advice Centre, who will be discussing the complexity of Continuing Healthcare Funding and when and how to challenge wrongful decisions.
Catriona Lumiste – SOLLA Advisory Board Member and Care Fees Planning Specialist, who will be discussing the Funding of Long Term Care and Care Fee Planning through appropriate investment advice.
Other speakers on the day will be discussing topics and case studies around the various funding options and issues to consider when planning for future care, the importance of having an appointed Deputy or Attorney and when to take legal action to recover lost/stolen assets.
