Tollers Celebrate Rising Star
At Tollers solicitors we are inordinately proud of the talented team of ‘legal eagles’ we have in our firm. Every team member whether they are in a support role, are a Trainee all the way to Partner level are highly valued. In this instance one individual has far exceeded all expectations, we have the distinct pleasure to celebrate the achievements and hard work of Lauren Hamper.
Lauren has recently graduated with a first-class honours degree in LLB Law and in recognition of all her hard work has been awarded The Northamptonshire Law Society Prize for Outstanding Academic Excellence. The Northamptonshire Law Society look after the administration of justice in Northamptonshire. The award will be presented formally to Lauren in March 2019 at the annual Northamptonshire Law Society Dinner. Lauren obtained the highest marks in her third year compared to everybody else in her cohort. She obtained over 90% in two of her modules and the other 4 modules were all a minimum of 78%, a middle first class. Lauren received the highest marks in Law across the county, an amazing achievement!
But Lauren is no stranger to recognition for all the hard work she applies. This month she has also been awarded The Max Engel Memorial Fund Scholarship. This was awarded to Lauren by the Max Engel award board at Max Engel & Co LLP solicitors. It was an award of £1500 to the most deserving law student in third year, which goes towards post graduate studies. For this, Lauren had to show how she had contributed to university life. Lauren volunteered for over 100 hours in her Second Year as the President of the CoppaFeel! ‘University Boob Team’, which fundraised and raised awareness of breast cancer to students. Raising £1300 within one academic year.
In October 2017 Lauren received The Neuberger Prize from the Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn. This was in recognition of her academic achievements in her second year. The University ran an article on it which can be viewed here.
And in her second year Lauren won The Shoosmiths Academic Excellence Award (Awarded July 2017) as Lauren received the highest marks in her year group whilst in the second year of university, obtaining over 90% in one module.
All in all we are sure Lauren has a very bright future ahead of her and we can’t wait to see just how high she flies. Congratulations Lauren!
