Chartered Legal Executive

Veronica Male is a member of the Elderly and Vulnerable Client Unit at Tollers, dealing with the financial affairs of our clients for whom we are appointed as Deputies or Attorneys.

Veronica’s clients are elderly or vulnerable. They may have challenges communicating if they are living with Dementia, have learning difficulties or a limited ability to understand or express themselves and their wishes.

Veronica helps clients who wish to retain some control over their future financial and health decisions by appointing someone they trust as an Attorney.

Veronica acts for people who do not have the legal capacity to act for themselves with the firm being appointed by the Court as Deputies or the client having chosen to appoint us as an Attorney.

As part of her role within the Unit Veronica will visit our clients, for whom we act as Deputy or Attorney, in their Care Homes to check that they are receiving good and appropriate care.   Veronica’s past experience in acting for clients who have suffered neglect in Care Homes means that she is able to effectively review the Care Plans of our clients.

Veronica is an experienced Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

Veronica is the past Chair of Northamptonshire Dementia Action Alliance working towards Northamptonshire becoming a Dementia Friendly Community.  She is a Dementia Friend raising awareness of Dementia.  Veronica became involved raising awareness of dementia as her father had Dementia.

Tollers is a member of Northamptonshire Dementia Action Alliance as well as Northampton Dementia Action Alliance.
