Hats On For Cake And Fizz At The Races

On Thursday 21st June 2018, volunteers from Tollers supported Age UK Northamptonshire at their Ascot Ladies Day tea at the Venton Centre in Northampton.
Our volunteers were greeted by 40 guests who were all wearing smart hats for the big race. Staff and volunteers had arranged a sweepstake so there was lots of interest in which horse might win!
Before the race, our volunteers (also wearing smart hats) served homemade cakes and fresh strawberries, along with Bucks Fizz and sparking water. Susie Davies, Age UK Northamptonshire Fundraiser said “What a fabulous afternoon we had. The clients loved it and we all loved the cakes”
Helen Capel, Tollers’ Practice Manager said: “We enjoyed helping with the Ladies Day tea and look forward to supporting more events during the year”.
