Following the success of our 2017 conference, Tollers are please to invite you to attend our upcoming 2018 conference, where we will be discussing several areas related to the issues that elderly clients may face today.

The conference is aimed at professionals working with the elderly and vulnerable.  It will provide an update as to the rights of individuals and their families, particularly looking at care contracts at home and in the care home setting, it will also focus on issues around the use of online digital tools, cyber security and the worrying trend of our older clients being subject to fraud and undue influence through scams.

This is a great opportunity to hear from a wide variety of specialists covering a wide variety of topics.

Some of speakers on the day will be:

Lindsay Johnson - Barrister with Doughty Street Chambers - whowill be talking about care home contracts, what can go wrong and what to do if the residents family are banned from visiting.

Damian Walton - IntaForensics Ltd – The fastest growing Digital Forensic Services provider in the UK will be providing a very interesting demonstration that shows how easy it can be to be deceived online.

Nick Johns - Age UK Northamptonshire - will be discussing how vulnerable clients can be duped into entering scams, the types of scams that are current operating and how to protect vulnerable people from these scams.

Other speakers on the day will be discussing topics such as; the concerns the legal profession have around older clients entering into online legal documents or contracts, what recourse clients have to resolve contract issues around mental capacity, fraud and undue influence and much more…
