Bringing Local Kempston Business People Together
Cathy Eaton and Sharon Brown from Tollers Trusts and Estates South team have been successfully hosting a Coffee Morning in Kempston since May 2016. The goal of the meeting is to introduce Tollers and to bring local business people together for a very informal coffee and a chat. There are so many local business and charities, and with such a close knit community generally in Kempston it seemed to make sense to bring the professional community together as well.
The events started small, with just a few local business people invited supported by other business units of Tollers (Family, Conveyancing and Personal Injury). The events are quite ‘intimate’ so that everyone could get to know each other and their businesses. However, word has spread and we now have people asking if they can join us!
At the moment the Coffee Mornings are run twice a year, just for an hour or so, usually in April and then again in October, hosted at a local public house, The King William IV. Regular attendees now include the Mayor of Kempston, local Councillors, the Road Victims Trust, Bedford Daycare Hospice, local estate agents, financial advisers, publishers and funeral directors to name but a few. A representative from Bedford Fire Service and the Bedford Registration Service have already asked to attend the next get together.
We hope that everyone continues to enjoy the Coffee Mornings as much as we do and we are already considering hosting additional dates in 2018.
Other local businesses are more than welcome to join us and can contact either Cathy Eaton on 01234 857014 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org or Sharon Brown on 01438 901100 or email: email@example.com
