Statements of Special Educational Needs
Statements of Educational Needs for a child can be relatively straightforward or indeed comprehensive and complex depending on the individual childs’ needs. We can advise on the process for obtaining a Statement as well as the content of the Statement. We are also able to offer specialist advise where there may have been a breach of a Statement. We can also offer advice to our clients where a Statement needs amending.
SENDIST Appeals
The Special Education Needs and Disability Tribunal hears appeals from parents and guardians where there are unresolved issues regarding a child’s special educational or disability needs. We have experience of preparing appeals in relation to statutory assessments of a childs needs, the content of statements, the cessation of statements and the refusal to make a statement after a child has been assessed. We are also experienced in preparing appeals and representing clients at the hearing where the provision in a statement is not being met.
