PERSONAL LEGAL INJURY CLAIMS

Receive the Defence

After registering the claim at the Court, the papers that have been lodged there will be served upon your opponent (the defendant).  The defendant will normally then send a document to the Court, and to us, called a “Defence”.  This will be their response to your claim.  The defendant can, in their defence, admit blame (liability) or, if they dispute that they are at fault, they will have to give their reasons.  We will need to consider this document with you, if they do not accept blame/liability in full.
