Making the Claim
This is done by sending a ‘Letter of Claim’ or a ‘Claim Notification Form’ to your opponent.
For Road Traffic Accident claims (RTAs) – a ‘Claim Notification Form’ will be sent to your opponent. In most circumstances their insurers will have 21 days to tell us whether or not they accept blame. Not much can happen on your claim during this time.
For other accident claims – a ‘Letter of Claim’ will be sent to your opponent/their insurers. They will have 21 days within which to respond and another 3 months to tell us whether they accept blame. Not much can happen on your claim during this time.
