Expected Timeframes
It is difficult to estimate how long your claim will take to resolve. Your Case Handler will be able to give you a better idea once they have spoken to you and heard about your particular circumstances.
Every claim is individual and particular to each client. We are concerned, indeed, to treat every person as an individual and to address your individual and personal concerns. However, in an attempt to give some guidance, most straightforward non-RTA claims can be resolved within a year to eighteen months. Lower value RTA’s (road traffic accidents) can be resolved much more quickly – often within a number of months but it will depend upon your opponent’s approach and also the circumstances of your individual claim.
The more complex the claim and the more serious the injuries, then the longer it is likely to take to resolve. The timeframe often depends on how quickly you recover and how quickly we can get together the evidence which shows your loss and also the likely future ultimate medical condition once your medical recovery has proceeded as far as is likely.
Obtaining the best evidence to assess your claim properly is vital. Obviously, this is all subject to your decision. Our role is to advise and assist you. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide whether or to accept an offer. We will advise you as to the consequences of decisions and choices which you face
