Contractual Changes
During employment relationships, terms of employment can change. For example, pay rises or promotion. However, these types of changes will normally happen by mutual consent and are unlikely to cause any legal or practical problems for employers.
However, sometimes employers and employees may wish to make other changes to the contract of employment which are not mutually acceptable, such as a reduction in hours or pay. Making these changes will require a proper process to be followed and cannot be done without either party’s consent.
As employment law specialists who advise businesses on a day to day basis, we know that there are times when changes may be necessary. We can assist you in following the correct processes to achieve this.
