This year the firm has decided to support another local charity - Northamptonshire TLC Trust (TLC being Tumour Leukaemia Cancer). www.nctlctrust.com
The charity is a Northampton based childrens cancer charity dedicated to supporting families living with tumours, leukaemia and other cancers. The charity provides practical and emotional support from the point of diagnosis. The charity was set up by a local family when their son was diagnosed with leukaemia back in July 2010.
Northamptonshire TLC Trust supports families by providing financial support, a support network of other families going through similar experiences, life enhancing 'Days to Remember' as well as providing counselling and psychotherapy support by a qualified Family Support Worker.
Northamptonshire TLC Trust is a small family run charity and as a result it is desperately underfunded. They currently are receiving sponsorship from some major local businesses such as Nationwide Building Society who recognise the value in the work that they do.
We have decided as a firm that by making them our Charity of the Year 2013, we should be able to make a real difference to their level of funding.
There will also be many opportunities to support local initiatives and community events on behalf of the charity and help to raise awareness & funding.
