PERSONAL LEGAL INJURY CLAIMS

Beauty Care & Hairdressing Claims

With more and more beauty treatments being made available, we are seeing more and more injuries caused.These injuries can range from burns to scalps from hair dyes, to facial burns from IPL laser hair removal treatments and lacerations/wounds caused during hair waxing. Although some treatments such as IPL treatments do carry a risk of minor burns they should not cause significant injuries.

If you have suffered an injury after any type of beauty/hair treatment the chances are you can seek compensation for the injuries caused, we at Tollers can assist you with these claims. To help your case it is important to report it immediately to the shop/therapist and get them to record it in their accident book. It is also useful to obtain photos of the injuries suffered.  It would also assist if you had ready the answers to the following questions as this will help us deal with your claim quickly and efficiently;

  • Who carried out the treatment?
  • Did you have a patch test prior to treatment?
  • Was the therapist qualified or in training? Have you retained receipts from the treatment?
  • Have you had the same treatment previously or used the same therapist in the past?
  • Do you have any allergies? Did the therapist complete a health questionnaire prior to any treatment being performed?

A pampering treat should not turn into a painful injury, but injuries can arise due to negligence and lack of care and attention by the therapist/stylist or failure to adhere to health and safety processes.
