If you are a regular reader of our blog posts you will know how keen Tollers are to support community works and charitable events. This weekend we are supporting the ‘What’s It Worth’ event in aid of Friends of Corby Urgent Care Centre who provide assistance to raise funds for this amazing facility in Corby. http://www.corbyucc.co.uk/
Ever wondered what those items hidden away in the loft might be worth? Now is your chance to find out! Specialists from Cheffins valuation and auction house will be on hand this Sunday to see if you have a Van Gogh or an ‘Oh No!’ So dust off those relics and pop to the Manor Suite at the Corby Holiday Inn to find out ‘What’s it Worth’. The event starts at 10am and will run until 3:30pm this Sunday 15th May.
Who knows, you may bump into David Fletcher, there is a panel of four experts on Sunday each expert in their own field i.e. Fine Art, Antiques, Porcelain, Furniture and cars. One of the experts is David Fletcher from BBC’s Flog It. He is a great supporter of the Corby Urgent Care Centre.
The modest charge for an expert’s opinion and valuation will be £5 for the first item then £2 per item up to a maximum of five pieces. Accompanying spectators will be very welcome but a donation of £2 will be requested per person. All monies raised during the day will be used to fund the purchase of badly needed medical equipment for the Corby Urgent Care Centre, equipment that cannot be currently funded due to budgetary constraints.
The event is hosted and sponsored by the Friends of Corby Urgent Care Centre with assistance and support from members of Corby Phoenix Rotary, the Holiday Inn, Tollers (our Corby Office), and Welland Vale Nurseries from Uppingham, who will also be showing an 1899 Decauville vintage car registration FP4, which was the first car to have been registered in Rutland.
