Banana Boat Claims
06/10/2010We were all saddened to hear in the news of the 11 year old girl who was killed whilst using a Banana Boat at a friend's birthday last month. Leza Gould is currently handling a similar claim where a client was injured on a Banana Boat ride. She comments "Banana Boats are great fun and people should not be stopped from using them. However, their operators should take proper care to ensure the safety of their customers.
The provision of a spotter when the operators are carrying many people seems a very sensible precaution. In all activities the law demands that we all look at what we are doing, assess the risks of injury and then take proportionate and sensible steps to minimise that risk.
