Redundancy

Some employers see the proposition of redundancy as an opportunity to get rid of dead wood, in other words, terminating the services of employees not considered to be of value to the business.  This is a very common employment mistake.  There is a critical element to fair redundancy procedure, the obligation upon an employer to seek suitable alternative employment prior to effecting redundancy.

As with the dismissal procedure an employer applies, the approach a business takes to making employees redundant should be of paramount importance when considering the appropriate strategy.  We will work alongside management to minimise the risk of any potential exposure to unfair dismissal.
