Many people make unjust distinctions everyday. Unfortunately this is human nature, but if the person making the distinction is one of your managers then this will implicate your business.
Discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation or age is currently a hot topic for employers. However, more importantly for your business is the impact it can have for your employees. It is a situation that can quickly get out of control and spread throughout your workforce.
Current anti-discrimination laws have many inconsistencies and limitations that will hopefully be addressed in the forthcoming Discrimination Law Review. As a key business partner we will assist in providing a clear structure for management and employees that will set the benchmark for what is not sociably or legally acceptable in the workplace.
