Powers of Attorney

A Power of Attorney is a legal document by which a person (the Donor) authorises someone whom they trust and choose (the Attorney) to manage their affairs.  The Attorney's authority can range from dealing with the Donor's property and finances to making welfare and medical decisions for the Donor. The extent of the authority is up to the Donor and the type of Power of Attorney that will be the most suitable is dependant on how and when the Donor intends that the power will be used.

Whichever is the most appropriate, it is essential that the person signing the Power of Attorney is capable of understanding the nature and effect of what he or she is doing.

We are happy to advise you and draft up the document that is most relevant to your circumstances.

Please contact us if you want to discuss this matter further.
