Developers and Landowners

We act for many developers of both residential and commercial property, in addition to landowners selling to developers.  With significant experience in drafting and negotiating development agreements, site assembly agreements and other contract documentation, we can assist clients in achieving successful developments.  The knowledge gained by us throughout this process enables onward sales, lettings and disposals to take place in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Some clients decide to develop sites jointly with third parties and, whether acting for the landowner or the developer, we will use our commercial approach to ensure the intentions of the parties and the aim of the project is realised in the timescales set out by the client.

Funding

We also act on behalf of banks and funders of development projects, using our experience and understanding of the parties' requirements to manage the transaction to a successful outcome.

Land Assembly

We are regularly involved in deals which form part of the assembly of a site for development.  Such transactions require particular care and attention to matters of title, the grant and reservation of the necessary rights and the avoidance of ransom-strip situations.
